On 16th November, paperboat came together with CoolTan Arts to host a literary walk of South London dedicated to the memory of lifelong campaigner and journalist Crispin Aubrey. The guided stigma-busting cultural walk, part of the Cooltan's Largactyl Shuffle series, was designed to encourage mental and physical wellbeing, through art, exercise, humour and history.
The walk took in the lesser known literary secrets hidden within Peckham's streets: commemorating William Blake’s birthday and paying homage to present day writers, such as Alistair Campbell and local author Evie Wilde. Walkers also heard from daughters Kate and Meg Aubrey about Crispin’s writing legacy and newly launched Crispin Aubrey Legacy Fund.

Comments:

‘We were delighted to partner with Cooltan Arts for this poignant and inspiring event. Crispin was a prolific reader and keen rambler so this was a perfect way to celebrate his legacy.

Rosie Aubrey, Paperboat

"What a great event today at the Crispin Aubrey Legacy Walk in association with Cooltan Arts Largactyl Shuffle. Really uplifting day and wonderful words from Meg and Kate, a fantastic tribute and a perfect way to spend a lovely autumn sunny day. Thank you'
